Wickremasinghe made his compliant to the Police after Minister Attanayake released a document at a Press conference claiming it was a secret pact between him (Wickremasinghe) and Maithripala Sirisena.

In his complaint Wickremasinghe had called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to conduct a full scale investigation on the faked document with his forged signature on it.

Minister Attanayake however claimed that what he showed the media was a genuine document and is prepared to face a police investigation.

He claimed he will not budge from his stand that the document was real.
