Prof. of parasitology at Ragama Medical Faculty Wimaladharma Abeywickrama says the research is being carried out at laboratory level now to control the mosquito population.

The International Atomic Energy Authority in Vienna, Austria and the National Research Council are assisting the faculty in the research.

Prof. Abeywickrama says that atomic energy too, can be used to make the mosquitoes barren.
