Dr. L.M. Senaweera, who ended a three month service contract on July 11 as director general of the Sri Lanka Standard Institution (SLSI) after retirement, had gone home taking with him the official files of the institution, reports say.
His successor, acting DG Dharmawardena has not been given the official files or the laptop computer.
Now, there is a danger that important files of SLSI will go missing.
However, Dharmawardena said he was not aware of such a situation, and said with a smile that he had not yet visited his new office room.
He declined to comment without knowing details.
