It was launched under the slogan "Mahinda Chintanaya and Mahinda Chintanaya Forward March" by the President himself.
At its presentation the President said his hand did not sign any pact harmful to the country.
He said as the city of Colombo was transformed into a clean environment the country will now be put on course for a healthy world economy.
"In 2005 we put forward the Mahinda Chintanaya and for the first time in our history everything the Manifesto had was accomplished. Everyone must bear in mind that we live in an era where the truth is suppressed. But one thing is certain and that is we will never return to the era of death in the country and we have no intention to slash the workforce of state sector employees.
"We are in no way going to halt the mega development projects that we started. We will not allow this country to fall into a situation that befell countries like Egypt, Libya and Syria. Even Anagarika Dharmapala was opposed. We have to take the country forward and my intention is to take Sri Lanka to the world through the "Mahinda Chintanaya to win the world".. If you did not vote for me in 2005 and 2010 what would have happened to this country. Ask yourselves", said President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the launch of his Manifesto.
