Police yesterday (12) handed over to Colombo additional magistrate 10 DVD and CD copies of CCTV footage relating to the murder of ruggerite Mohamed Thajudeen.

This is pursuant to an order issued on July 08.

The footage was captured by CCTV cameras installed at Highlevel Road, Baseline Junction and Narahenpita Junction from 11.00 pm on 16 May 2012 to 2.00 am on the following day.

OIC in charge of the police CCTV division T.G. Gamlath certified the originals were safely with him.

However, the CID casts doubts about the manner the footage had been kept.
