Seventy five Military and Police Advisers attended the meeting. Welcome speech was delivered by Dr. Rohan Perera the Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to the United Nations and concluding remarks of the meeting was delivered by Major General Ubaya Medawela, Minister (Military Adviser). During the meeting commitments of the MPAC towards peacekeeping and orientation training program of new MPAC members were high on the agenda. Farewell and welcome sessions of members too were held during the meeting.

During this meeting Major General Ubaya Medawela was unanimously elected as the Dean of the Asia Group which comprises of Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Yeman.

At the end of the meeting MPAC Community was treated to a sumptuous spicy Sri Lankan cuisine that was very much appreciated by all those present.
