Addressing a meeting at the Colombo library auditorium yesterday (21), he gave a red light warning to the government that it should not consider party or political differences when acting against corruption and irregularities.

At the commencement of the event, organizers failed to remember their pioneering leader, the late Ven. Maduluwawe Sobhitha Thera, against which several participants lodged protests in a disorderly manner.
Responding, organizers said the true tribute and respect that should be paid to the late Thera was by ensuring the establishment of good governance in the country.
Dr. Nirmal Ranjith Devasiri noted that paying respects to the prelate should not be confined to just one minute.
