Yoshitha Rajapaksa was summoned to court by Additional Magistrate of Mount Lavinia Praharsha Ranasinghe on charges of violating the money laundering act.
The case was filed against the construction of a 200 million rupee house in Dehiwala. Accordingly Rajapaksa was released on three surety bails of one million rupees.
A grandmother of Yoshitha Rajapaksa has been named as the chief suspect of the case.
The Court ordered Daisy Forest and Yoshitha Rajapaksa to apprea before the Police Financial Crimes Investigation Division on the last Sunday of every month to cooperate in further investigations.
Attorneys representing Rajapaksa said as the house concerned was traditional property of the family several issues persist in the case filed against him.
