‘Arrest Dayan Lansa over assault on Freddie Gamage’ ^Featured

Web journalists are demanding the arrest of Negombo deputy mayor Dayan Lansa over the assault on their colleague Freddie Gamage at the Negombo municipal council premises on June 02.

At a media briefing yesterday (08), web journalists association secretary, srilankamirror.com’s Kelum Shivantha said Lansa had set up the attack on Gamage, the association’s convener.

Also present were editors Kumuduni Wijewardena, Prabhath Madhawa, Subhash Jayawardena, Shivanthi Fernando, Vimukthi Dushantha, Jayampathy Bulathsinhala, Kavindu Dilshan and Jayani Abeysekara representing lankanewsweb.com, asianmirror.com, lankadaily.com, colombopost.net, inforsrilanka.com, pathula.com, gossip99.com and samabima.com.

Shivantha also said information about Lansa’s involvement was now available.

Editor of pathula.com Jayampathy Bulathsinhala said this incident showed that despite the defeat of the Rajapaksa regime, the Rajapaksa culture still remained very much alive.
