Former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga says that she will distance herself from the government if the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) intends to bring former Defence Secretary - Gotabhaya Rajapaksa to power.
She was speaking at an event in the Wathupitiwala area, which saw to the distribution of relief for the flood affected.
Ms. Kumaratunga added that she brought this government to power to gradually sweep away the corruption that existed in the country.
