They have made this decision as they too would be held legally responsible for the misdeeds committed by officials who received political appointments to these institutions.
The closest reason is said to be the Director Board of the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) being collectively held responsible after funds reserved for welfare activities of the institution were allegedly passed through the former SLTDA Chairman - Bhashwara Guneratne, for a 'Dansela' of former Uva province chief minister - Shashindra Rajapaksa.
Upon seeking the advice of the AG, Deputy Solicitor General Thusitha Mudalige has said that all Board members should be held responsible.
Accordingly, the entire SLTDA Board of Directors has been notified to appear before the FCID at 9.00am tomorrow.
