He has informed the CID through his lawyers that he would not be present at the CID headquarters.
A top CID official told Sri Lanka Mirror that Gamage would be arrested if he did not report today (25).
Yesterday, a lawyer Ajith Gamage appeared on behalf of ex-judge Gamage and requested that he be allowed to surrender to courts at the official chamber of Nugegoda additional magistrate Kanishka Wijeratne.
The CID objected to it and noted no case has been filed against him in a court.
Also, the B report is yet to submit in connection with the case pertaining to Gamage’s having faked documents to own baby elephants.
Additional magistrate Wijeratne has ordered both parties to make submissions on June 06.
However, the CID is preparing to arrest Gamage on an order issued by Colombo chief magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya.
