Minister Rishad Badurdeen is reported to have assaulted government parliamentarian J Sri Ranga at Temple Trees yesterday (December 15).

Ranga is also a media man and works for Shakthi TV's "Minnel" programme.

Minister Badurdeen is said to have questioned Ranga over his comments in the TV programme which led to the attack.

Efforts made by SriLankaMirror to reach out to Minister Badurdeen and MP Ranga for comment proved futile.
