SLMC leader Rauff Hakeem is empowered to take the final decision on this regard, which is to be stated today (14) or tomorrow (15), a senior spokesperson of the party has told the party.

The spokesperson has further said that discussions were held in the last few weeks to decide whether the party would support Mahinda Rajapaksa or Maithripala Siripala at the next Presidential election with the majority stating that they should back the common candidate.
