Calling for an end to this form of abuse, he notes that only a handful in universities get satisfaction out of ragging.

Speaking to the media, he said ragging should not take place in universities which have an administration of their own.

He requested all, from the chancellor to lecturers, to be vigilant of ragging.

Instead of punishing those responsible for ragging, they should be educated on the social negativity of ragging, he added.
