The number of cut-outs on the road from Colombo to Vavuniya that have yet to be pulled down are found mostly in Chilaw and Arachchikattuwa, the Campaign For Free and Fair Elections (CaFFE) has said.
According to CaFFE, residents in these areas have labelled the cut-outs as "Jungi Cut-Outs". In English it means underwear to cover nakedness.
The term had come about after part of the cut-outs had been covered by cloth which sways from side to side each time the wind blows according to CaFFE.
