Among the proposals to be put forward are a Rs.10,000 salary increase for employees, the JVP's Western Provincial Council Minister and head of its workers' union KD Lal Kantha said while addressing a Press conference in Colombo on Friday.

He said the people have had no recourse to relief from the high cost of living under this government.

"Under another government we have to make our point very clear and come down hard to press for our dues", said Lal Kantha.
