He had brought a 'Hunduwa' and a 'Seruwa' (traditional instruments used to measure raw grain) to a media briefing today (02).
"Have you seen the old 'Hunduwa' and 'Seruwa'? A 'Hunduwa' is one fourth of a 'Seruwa'. See, I have brought both with me today. We are people who have eaten rice measured by a 'Seruwa'. One May Day rally was held in a 'Hunduwa'. Another was held in a 'Seruwa'...We managed to hold an exceptionally successful May Rally".
However, the minister said that the 'Hunduwa' and 'Seruwa' would come together.
He further said that supporters from 40 electorates were forced to turn back after not being able to see the grounds where the SLFP May Day rally was held.
