North Western Provincial Councillor, Kamal Indika, has been appointed as the new organizer to the Hiri-yala electorate which was previously held by Salinda Dissanayake.
As reported by 'Sri Lanka Mirror', MP Geetha Kumarasinghe has also been removed from her position as the SLFP organizer for Bentara-Elpitiya electorate.
Former Chairman of the Bentota Pradeshiya Sabha Krishan Sirimanne and Former Chairman of the Elpitiya Pradeshiya Sabha Amila Harshana Kariyawasam were appointed as Co-organizers of the Bentara Elpitiya electorate.
President Maithripala Sirisena handed out appointment letters to 11 new electorate and district organizers at the President’s Office this morning.
Among the new appointees is Pradeep Jayawardena, a grandson of Former President Late J.R. Jayawardena, who was appointed as the organizer for the Gampaha District.
Former Western Provincial Councilors Gamini De Silva and Buddhika Iddamalgoda were appointed as co-organizers for the Colombo District.
Manula Chamal Perera was appointed as Organizer for the Kalutara District.
Piyal Dharshana Guruge was appointed as Organizer for the Galle District while Naleen Pushpa Kumara for the Kegalle District and Thushara Thilekeratne was appointed as Organizer for the Kurunegala District.
