Colombo Additional Magistrate Chandana Kalansuriya today (27) ordered to hand over the CCTV footage of the road accident involving the vehicle of Megapolis minister - Patali Champika Ranawaka, to the Moratuwa University for investigations.
Justice Kalansuriya said the decision to arrest Champika Ranawaka would be taken after calling for reports from the Moratuwa University.
Police also informed courts today that the mobile phone found in the car at the time of the accident had a sim card registered under the name of the minister.
The case will be taken up again on June 15.
