Yammine hails from Zgharta in North Lebanon, and is a Harvard University graduate.

She said that "this competition shows that women are able to learn, work and excel while preserving their beauty at the same time."

Yammine also announced that she will probably choose "encouraging women to attain their ambitions and reach leadership positions" as her theme throughout her pageant mandate.

Contestants from China and Russia won the runner-up and the third place respectively.

Udari Warnakulasuriya who represented Sri Lanka won the Celebrity of the Year mini pageant. However she could not reach the final round.
