In an interview with Vogue magazine, the actress has been quoted as saying that there is no shame in accepting the relationship and that it is love. She further said that after so many years of working in the industry, being called as someone's girlfriend was something she found insulting. She even questioned that why the actor is not called as someone's boyfriend.

About being open, Katrina said that being open does not only mean talking about the relationships. She reasoned that an actress should not be made to speak about the men in her life when there is so much more to her.
