Extra security for Minaj waxwork

Extra security for Minaj waxwork Featured

Madame Tussauds has brought in extra security to monitor a waxwork of Nicki Minaj.

The figure is based on the rapper's iconic pose in her Anaconda video - where she's posing in heels on her hands and knees.

Since the Las Vegas museum unveiled it earlier this month, fans have been rushing to be photographed with it.

Some visitors have been getting a bit too excited and taking "inappropriate" pics.

Madame Tussauds says while it wants people to have an "interactive, immersive experience", the waxworks must be "treated respectfully".

Some male visitors have even posted images of themselves pretending to have sex with the figure.

The museum says "guests" were "consistently asking" it to add Nicki to its collection. Twenty artists spent six month sculpting it.

It's currently in the attraction's music room, which is also home to a figure of Miley Cyrus on her "Wrecking Ball".

The museum said such things were "unfortunate" and apologised for any offence caused.

Madame Tussauds has brought in extra staff to monitor visitors and will "redesign" the figure too.
