The 'shock' however, was a pleasant one which came in the form of a surprise birthday party organised by close friends and family last night (03).

Menaka celebrated her birthday on July 02.

A large number of celebrities and friends from the Arts field including Nethu Priyangika, Udari Perera, Nadeesha Hemamali, Sanka Abeysinghe were present.

In near past incidents that occurred in my life after associating wrong people as friends I was very disappointed and stayed away from everyone . It was a matter of fact whom to believe anymore..... After last night I realized how lucky I am to have a lot of true friends and who my real friends are . I wanna thank each one of them for stand by me in all my troubles . Specially @niluka kodikara @ Niru Perera and u yez u Gayani Batz for being there in my most trouble times and my most happy moments to share everything equally ... I'm lucky to be born as a daughter and a big sister in my family because I know how much you all loves me and appreciates and care about my happiness more .
Thank to everyone who came last night and kept it as a secret and gave me a heart attack and made me surprised ... Best birthday ever... Life can't be better than this ... And I'm glad I made right choices and removed some people from my life ..
