At the event, it was announced that the 11 th Raigam Tele'es will be held on a grand scale at the Nelum Pokuna Theatre on June 12, 2015 at 6pm.
Polling by SMS to select the Most Popular Actor, Actress and the Tele-drama will open up to 10.06.2015 midnight.
The Raigam Tele-awards Ceremony which began as the Awards Ceremony of the Nation was re-branded in 2011 as Raigam Tele'es with the idea of developing it to the standard of Oscar, Film Fare, IFA and Grammy Awards.
The visual theme for the 11th encounter of this festival is "meaningful tele-contribution of an eleven-year voyage, perfectly balance like 11".
The Jury
The Judge Panel consists of eight members and most of them have past experience in similar capacity. The Chairman of the panel is Renowned Artist Buddhadasa Galappaththi. Other members are Prof. Patrick Ratnayake, Prof S.J.Yogarajah, Renown Film Critique & Journalist Gunasiri Silva, Well-known Journalist Jayantha Rukmanee Siriwardene, Senior Administrative Officer D. M. R. B. Dissanayake, Award winning Film Director Enoka Sathyangani Keerthinanda and the Veteran Camera Director M. D. Mahindapala.
There are two main categories of Awards, namely the the "Excellence in Tele-drama" of both multi-episode and single episode tele-dramas, and "Excellence in Television Media Programmes" including children's programs, sports, political, reporting, reality, variety programs.
The peoples' choice ("Most Popular" Award Category) are based on the SMS voting of the general public, who will get the chance to use SMS to elect their choice of the most popular Actor, Actress, and Tele-drama. To register one's choice, type the name of the Tele-drama, (space) name of Actor/Actress and send to 772-522522 or 702 722 722. The competition is now on and will be closed at midnight on 10th June 2015. Two tickets will be presented to each of the first 25 winners who will be selected from those who send SMS. The winners will be notified through the number on the SMS. On presentation of this SMS from the RaigamTele'es Secretariat, the tickets can be collected.
In addition, Awards of Appreciation will also be held.
