The event was held under the patronage of Karu Jayasuriya - minister of Buddha Sasana, Public Administration, Democratic Governance and Karunaratna Paranawithana - the Secretary of Ministry of Media.

Priyantha Hewage was awarded the best blogger for year 2014 and for the award for the best blog post was won by Sandun Dasanayake.

Meanwhile, the best blog poetry was awarded to Damith Gunewardena.
