The 50-second teaser for Sachin: A Billion Dreams features Tendulkar passing on the advice his father gave him when he began his cricket career.

It paints the young sportsman as a "wild child" who became a "virtuous hero" and finishes with shots of a crowd chanting his name.

The story is "really inspiring", says the Indian Express, and the trailer "shows glimpses of his journey towards his dream, full of passion and dedication".

The film, produced by London-based film-maker James Erskine with music by Bollywood legend AR Rahman, "is a tribute to the master batsman's achievements", says the Hindustan Times, and the first glimpse "takes us back to his childhood when his father's words shaped him as a person."
