Speaking, President of HTC South Asia, Faisal Siddiqui said that HTC is pleased to launch their smartphones in the Sri Lankan market and that they wish to empower the masses and put a good phone in everyone's hands without compromising on features and specifications.
In a statement, Chairman of Softlogic Holdings PLC - Ashok Pathirage said "today marks the beginning of a very exciting journey for us as we partner with HTC to launch its line-ip of mobile phones in the country. Sri Lankan mobile phone users can now look forward to the best of technology and services via HTC and Softlogic.
Sri Lankan cricketer Thisara Perera also attended the event.
The range of HTC smartphones entering the market are namely HTC One M8Eye, Desire 826 Dual Sim, Desire 820s, Desire 626G+, Desire 620G, Desire 526G+ and Desire 326G.
All the smartphone models will be available with leading mobile operators and major retailers in Sri Lanka from next week onwards.
