PM’s responses are ugly – JHU Featured

In a statement signed by its media secretary Nishantha Sri Warnasinghe, the JHU says it entirely disapproved of the insulting and intimidating of professionals and their organizations.

Instead of boasting about this agreement, relevant authorities should hold an intellectual dialogue to raise awareness among the public and to ensure an ethical political culture, it says.

The prime minister has been strongly critical of the objections raised by professionals and their organizations to ITCA.

The JHU statement stresses the need to think deeply with regard to long and short term impacts when reaching an economic, trade, technical agreement with another country.

Politicians’ response to criticism should be disciplined and ethical, it adds.
