All political parties and civil organisations supporting the common candidate are to join the rally, which is organised by UNP leadership council member MP Mangala Samaraweera.

Meanwhile, the campaigning activities of the common candidate is to commence from Polonnaruwa from Nov. 30.

The 'Maithri Mission' is to commence with religious observances and an Adhisthana Pooja' at the Polonnaruwa Gal Viharaya.

A large number of opposition parties including the UNP, religious organisations as well as political activists including former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga are to attend the event.
