Trial was set in connection with the case filed against him by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption.

Accordingly, the case will be again taken up for hearing on Feb. 02, 2016.

The Bribery Commission earlier filed action against Gunawardena under section 9 of the Declaration of Assets and Liabilities Law No. 1 on 1975.
