In order to strengthen their nationalistic political views in the prevailing backdrop, foreign members of the Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) have reportedly urged to field the organisation's General Secretary - Ven. GalabodaAththe Gnanasara Thera at the forthcoming presidential election, 'Sri Lanka Mirror' learns.
The call was echoed by those who attended the BBS Youth conference at the BMICH, Colombo, yesterday (16).
Sources also say that accordingly, a sudden meeting of the BBS politiburo was held to take up the above matter and there, it was decided to field Ven. Gnanasara Thera at the forthcoming presidential election if a representative of the Jathika Hela Urumaya too, entered the fray.
