During the recent budget debate the Rathnapura district United National Party (UNP) parliamentarian Ranjan Ramanayake has slightly sling mud at Monitoring Minister of Foreign Employment Promotion and Welfare, Upeksha Swarnamali (Paba), as well.
However, Raththaran has reacted to Ranjan's statement even before Paba did and responded to his question.
Enthused by Raththaran's response Paba has given two thumbs and said ' Ela Ela' (well done) to him.
However, Raththaran has not seen the particular gesture of Paba and an MP, who was seated close to Raththaran has misread Paba's signal- thinking that it was meant for him- is said to be very much interested in Paba.
