FCID goes after Namal’s girls Featured

The FCID is investigating the girls who have had connections with MP Namal Rajapaksa.

Another directress of a company owned by Namal and wanted by the police had fled the country.

Identified as Batapola Arachchilage Ornella Iresha Silva, allegedly having aided in a Rs. 125 million fraud, is reportedly in hiding in England.

She is the wife of Indika Prabhath Karunajeewa, who also has evaded courts and in England.

A red alert has been issued by Interpol for his arrest.

A resident of 31/3, Horton Place, Colombo 07, his national identity card no. is 752652066V and the passport no. NS 412248.

Another directress Nitya Senani Samaranayake has been arrested and remanded.

Four directors of the company had been summoned to give evidence over money laundering by Namal’s NR Associates and Hello Corp.

Another suspect, Sujani Bogollagama, the general manager of NR Associates, presently warded at Colombo National Hospital, is expected to surrender to courts today (18).

The other to be arrested is Sudarshana Bandara Ganegoda.
