2,500 oral cancer patients diagnosed every year

The health ministry says 2,500 oral cancer patients are newly diagnosed every year.

This is at the rate of around six new patients a day.

Oral cancer is most common men, mostly the elderly, which is 23.6 per cent.

The causes for oral cancer are betel, tobacco chewing, smoking and alcohol consumption.
