President will be taken to courts – Sanath Nishantha

President will be taken to courts – Sanath Nishantha Featured

Puttalam district MP Sanath Nishantha refuses to accept the removal of his SLFP membership, and says he will go to courts against the decision taken by the party’s central committee last night (04).

The country will see as to who the real leader of the party is, as even the president can be taken to courts as per the 19th amendment, he says.

Nishantha says he does not recognize president Maithripala Sirisena as leader of the SLFP.

Commenting on the accusation that he has criticized the party leadership, the MP says he has spoken against the SLFP’s forming a government with the UNP, attempts by the party leadership to divide the country and to curtail given to farmers.

Nishantha says he criticizes the party leadership to correct them, not with the intention of doing any harm.
