While the whole world has been grooving to "Champion, champion" like Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo and the rest, the manager of the team Rawl Lewis took time off after the game and headed down to Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity in the east Indian city.
Members of the charity also called missionaries care for refugees, ex-prostitutes, the mentally ill, sick and abandoned children, lepers, people suffering from AIDS, the aged, and convalescent. They have schools to educate street children, soup kitchens and other social activities run by volunteers.
In a post on Twitter, the official account of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB), said, "#WI manager Rawl Lewis makes the teams' donation to Missionaries of Charity in Kolkata #WT20"
A few users on the social network went on to express their opinion. Nayanthara said, "This makes them true champions." Audrey D'Silva, "The team itself doesn't get sufficient money to even buy their own jerseys and yet they are kind enough to do charity."
