Like father, like son. Brooklyn, the eldest son of former England star footballer David Beckham, has followed in his father's massive footsteps and reportedly signed up to play in the highly-competitive English Premier League.

According to a Daily Mail report, the 15-year-old Brooklyn has signed a short-term academy contract with Arsenal.

Arsenal are not the first club to take notice of Brooklyn's talent. Clubs including Manchester United, where his father spent 11 successful years of his illustrious career, and Chelsea were reportedly interested in snapping up the youngster.

Brooklyn had even gone on trial with London-based Championship side Fulham in 2013. But, Arsenal stole the march.

Brooklyn is not the only one from the Beckham family to be part of Arsenal. His younger brothers Romeo, 12, and Cruz, 9, have been playing for the club's under-13s and under-10s, respectively.

With 52 goals in 265 appearances, David Beckham is still considered one of the best footballers to have donned the Manchester United jersey and in Brooklyn, Arsenal will hope to find a similar spark over the next few years.
