A final decision is to be made by Sri Lanka Cricket over the next few days with head selector Sanath Jayasuriya to travel to New Zealand for a final assessment.

The two sticking points are whether Sri Lanka is to replace a fast bowler with a fast bowler or a batsman.

The selectors have already come in for criticism for leaving out batsman Upul Tharanga in the first place when the 15-man squad was announced.
