Sri Lanka Cricket has entrusted its women's team in the hands of an official who it was alleged sought sexual favours on a previous occasion.

He will accompany the women on a tour of the UAE on January 7 to take on Pakistan in a series of matches.

The official was investigated by both Sri Lanka Cricket and the Sports Ministry which appointed a lawyer Minoli Jinadasa to probe the matter and submit a report which has provided details of the incident where he had sought sexual favours from a player.

The report named three officials who were involved in player management and team selection as offenders.

On November 12 the sports minister appointed a three-man committee under retired Supreme Court Judge Nimal Dissanayake to investigate the episode and was expected to submit a report within two weeks.
