The present cricket administration has given appointments to difficult areas and transfers to coaches who had politicized the game in the past.

However, officials of district associations are manipulating those appointments and transfers, reports say.

Meanwhile, SLC employees allege the Thilanga Sumathipala administration has given many appointments to persons without qualifications.

Without calling for applications or holding interviews, several friends of Sumathipala have been appointed to positions with monthly allowances of Rs. 190,000.

Also, unqualified persons have been selected at interviews as district and provincial coaches.

Three applicants who have been ranked grade iii have been sidelined, while a friend of sports minister Dayasiri Jayasekara has been appointed a coach for Kurunegala district.
