On Saturday, the most decorated Olympian in history posted a photo of himself shirtless, cradling the baby, while Johnson looked at them from her hospital bed. “Healthy and happy!!! Best feeling I have ever felt in my life!!!” Phelps wrote on Instagram.

Phelps had previously announced that he would skip a swim meet in Atlanta next week in anticipation of the baby’s arrival.

But he has also said he’s excited to have the baby with him in Rio de Janeiro this August.
