Chairman of Sri Lanka Anti-Doping Agency (SLADA) - Professor Arjuna P de Silva says that National cricketers could face injuries during the England tour after training in Colombo under the prevailing hot, dry weather conditions.

He added that the contrasting climate conditions could lead to muscular injuries in the players.

This can be prevented by training in the Radella grounds in Nuwara Eliya, where the climate is similar to that of England, he further says.

Noting that the players will face a climate of 12 C in Chelmsford during their 3-day game, Prof. Arjuna notes that it is currently 34 degrees in Colombo and the contrast in temperature should not be taken lightly.
