Photographers share their funniest animal pictures

From a lion with a comb-over to rival Donald Trump to a three-headed giraffe, these are among the funniest wildlife images ever taken.

Photographers around the world are sharing their most hilarious pictures for the inaugural Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards.

More than 800 entries have already been submitted, including a guinea pig apparently levitating and a baboon examining a crisp packet.

British-born Paul Joynson-Hicks, a wildlife photographer based in Tanzania, launched the competition and is among the judges.

They also include wildlife TV presenter Kate Humble, comedian Hugh Dennis and Born Free Foundation president Will Travers.

Mr Joynson-Hicks said: ‘We are looking for funny, creative, dynamic and interesting wildlife photographs as well as technically proficient.’

The closing date for entries is this Thursday, before 40 finalists are revealed - and the winner will then be announced on November 11.

The victor will win a one-week photographic safari in southern Tanzania for them and a guest with return flights, and a Nikon D750 camera.
