Call to extend tenure of Missing Persons commission Featured

With the term of the Presidential Commission to Investigate Complaints Regarding Missing Persons (PCICMP) ending next month, the commission has sought an extension.

The term of the PCICMP is to end on February 15.

Commission’s Secretary, H.W. Gunadasa said a formal request has been made to President Sirisena to extend the term of the commission.

The commission headed by retired judge Maxwell Paranagama recently concluded its public sittings in Jaffna.
