The government has decided to take legal action, after reports that an ancient plaster layer has collapsed there.

Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam inspected the damage yesterday (02) and told officials to investigate the violations.

He instructed that local and foreign expertise be obtained to preserve this cultural site.

A security fence be erected around the mirror wall, the minister gave orders.
