Another UPFA parliamentarian joins UNP

UPFA Vanni district MP Hunais Farook has joined the United National Party (UNP), reports say.

Farook said that he has decided to join the UNP during a meeting held at Sirikotha where Common Candidate Maithripala Sirisena and Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe participated.

Farook, who represents the Vanni multi-member electoral district, was a member of the United Peoples Freedom Alliance and was elected at the 2010 Parliamentary elections.
