Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the other sea areas around the island during the afternoon and night.

Winds will be North-easterly and the speed will be 20-40 kmph. There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers.

The sea areas off the coast extending from Colombo to Kankesanthurai via Puttalam and Mannar may be fairly rough at times as the wind can be strengthening up to 50kmph at times. Generally other sea areas around the island will not be rough, the Met. Department says.
