SL-Kashmir Study Forum condemns Indian atrocities

Kashmir Study Forum, Sri Lanka strongly condemned the killings of innocent Kashmiris by the Indian security forces in the Indian occupied Kashmir. The news flowing from the occupied Kashmir is disturbing.

Killings of children, women, sick and old are unacceptable. The Indian policy towards Kashmir is condemnable. Humanitarian organisations are not allowed entryu into Kashmir. Amnesty International was refused to enter Kashmir.

Asia Watch had been driven out from the border. The reports on the human rights situation prevailing in the Indian occupied Kashmir make a horrifying reading on the scale and the intensify of the brutalities being inflicted by the Indian Army on the innocent civilian population.

Immediate measures by the international community is the need of the hour. Atrocities committed by the Indian military must be stopped forthwith. The people of Kashmir should have the option to decide their future according to the provision given in June Plan.

Kashmir is a sovereign state. India staged a naked aggression on 27th October 1947.As promised by Nehru through telegram to Liyaqat Ali Khan, the prime minister of Pakistan dated 31st October ‘947, india must withdraw allowing the people to decide their future through fair and free plebicite under the auspices of the United Nations.’ These mass killings are going on for almost seventy years, unabated.
