Husband of Nirupama Rajapaksa - Thirukumaran Nadesan has been arrested by the FCID.
He is to be produced before the Pugoda Magistrate later today.
Thirukumaran was arrested after being summoned to the FCIF over a controversial land deal in Malwana.
Earlier this month, former Minister Basil Rajapaksa’s attorney informed courts that his client had no connection to the disputed property located in Malwana, Pugoda.
On Oct. 14, Pugoda Chief Magistrate D. A. Ruwan Pathirana ordered the property to be sold at a public auction.
